Bridge Documentation

This bridge has a variety of spans dating to a variety of different times. The main span, the swing span, dates to 1927 and was built by Virginia Bridge and Iron. One of the plate girder approach spans has a 1964 American Bridge plaque, and reportedly dates to the construction of Logan Martin Lake. There are two bolted fixed through truss spans that appear to be even newer. The remainder approach spans are deck plate girders. Lengths given are estimates.
