Bridge Documentation

This bridge is an impressive structure and the pin-connected Pennsylvania through truss design of the two main spans makes this bridge a rare type. A small rivet-connected pony truss approach span provides a contrast in design, appearance, and size to the main spans of the bridge. This bridge has been preserved in place for non-motorized traffic. Modern approach spans were added to the northern end of the bridge. Very tall modern railings were added to the bridge. Aside from these changes, the bridge retains excellent historic integrity and the bridge is a great example of a quality preservation project.
