Bridge Documentation

This bridge's future is at risk!

Bridge Status: Slated for demolition and replacement!

Records indicate that this is an ancient 1872 railroad pony truss that was moved here in 1906 to be used as a highway over railroad overpass bridge. Assuming the 1872 construction date is correct, it is among the oldest bridges of its kind in Ilinois and of high significance.

The top chord of this bridge has faint but extremely rare Passaic RMC (Rolling Mill Company)

Thanks to John Marvig for researching this bridge. Visit his website for more information.
