This bridge is an example of a traditionally composed through plate girder with three girder lines. It is not particularly significant given its design and location in a county with a ton of old railroad grade separations, however it is in a region of the county where such structures are less common (as opposed to the City of Chicago). The piers of the bridge appear to have been substantially altered, since they appear newer than the superstructure and the abutments.
