Bridge Documentation

This attractive riveted pony truss bridge has been abandoned. An inventory listed the builder as American Bridge Company of New York, New York but this could not be confirmed. If American Bridge was offering bridges of its own design at this time (like late 19th century bridge companies did) vs a state/county design that they simply fabricated, then it may be possible to discern some similarities in the design of the top chord and truss members to this bridge in Maine but this is all speculation.
