This bridge is an early and very unusual surviving example of a riveted steel deck arch in Canada. In 2003, the bridge was widened by adding two arch ribs increasing the total number of arch ribs from four to six. Despite this alteration, the original four arch ribs and bracing retain good historic integrity. For a steel deck arch bridge, the shape of the arches, nearly semicircular, are extremely unusual. The bridge is also noted for its skew. Lengths given are rough estimates.
