This bridge is one of a few remaining curved t-beam bridges in Calhoun County that retain historic integrity with no modifications to their railings. Visit the 23 Mile Road Bridge page for more discussion on this bridge type. Unlike the 23 Mile Road Bridge, this bridge has no railings around its center support in the freeway dividing median, so photographs of this bridge have that extra bit of modern obstruction out of the picture.
