Considering the fate of the Eaton Street Bridge this bridge does not likely have a bright future, despite the amount of beauty it contributes to this industrial/residential transition area.

This bridge features the basic design of a standard plan bridge that Michigan developed in the 1920s and was used in the late 20s and into the 1930s. However it is unusual in a couple of ways. First, the abutments continue the railing design on them. Another unusual design feature is the inset rectangle designs present on the concrete veneer that appears below the railings, and which covers the bridge's steel stringers. These can be seen in the above photo. Also, the rehabilitation date for the bridge may refer to a date in which the deck of the sidewalks was repaired by reusing old refuse bricks from something else to act as a base for the deck.

The top part of the railings are in good condition, whereas the bottom has spalled severely. This is a contrast to St. Clair County's Fisher Road Bridge, where the damage is more on the top of the railings.

Although deteriorated, the bridge retains its original design and with a restoration done, with attention paid to historic integrity, this bridge could become a proud part of the city of Albion.
