This bridge is a variation of the standard Michigan concrete girder plan. In this variation, the inset rectangles are more narrow than usual, and the girder is less tall. Early standard bridge plans were not quite as standard as plans today, and they also changed more frequently over the years. Each bridge still managed to be a little bit different than the next back in these days. The Michigan Historic Bridge Inventory gives a construction date of 1920 for this bridge.
