Key Facts
Bridge Name Facility Carried / Feature Intersected Location Structure Type Construction Date / Builder or Contractor
McDougal Line Bridge McDougal Line Over Local Drain Rural: Chatham-Kent Region, Ontario Concrete T-Beam, Stationary 0 By: Unknown

This two-span structure is an excellent example of a concrete t-beam bridge in Ontario. The bridge features the railing design that is seen on standard-plan rainbow arch bridges like the Prangley Drain Bridge. It is likely that this design was a standard plan as well. This bridge is in good shape, with no posted weight limit and no major spalling noted. The bridge is situated right where McDougal Line ends at Merlin Road. This bridge features curved railings at that Merlin Road end to compliment the idea that McDougal Road ends and a driver must turn off or on at that point.
