| Prangley Drain Bridge | CR-21 Over Prangley Drain | Rural (Near Dresden): Chatham-Kent Region, Ontario | Concrete Through Arch, Stationary | 1930 By: Unknown |
This bridge is a good representative example of a single-span concrete bowstring, also known as a rainbow arch, in Ontario. The structure of the arch appears to be in good shape, although the railings are spalling quite a bit. The bridge carries heavy traffic, including many trucks as it serves CR-21, which was formerly KH-21 prior to the provincial downloading. Despite the poor condition of the railings, the railings are original, and because of this the bridge represents the original design better than a restored bridges like the Warwick Bridge, which had its railings replaced.
