This curved t-beam has been stripped of its beautiful railings and has had New Jersey barriers placed on it. This is the fate of the majority of curved t-beams that remain in the state have suffered. The original railings play a huge role in making this structure type an attractive one.

This heavily skewed curved t-beam appears on this website to showcase the importance of original railings on bridges, particularly bridges built after 1930, where the structure types became much more simple, but the railings often continued to have a distinct decorative appearance. While the graceful arched beams of this structure type also play a major role in defining an attractive bridge design, both railing and beam are really needed to make the bridge truly an aesthetically pleasing structure.

Also, this bridge is heavily skewed, making it more noteworthy than other t-beams in the area.
