This bridge is similar to the Torrence Highway stationary truss bridge. Utilizing the Pennsylvania truss configuration, which is the loosely defined truss configuration which essentially means a Pratt truss with additional members added to the truss web, and also has a polygonal top chord. This large single truss span bridge showcases the style very well. This bridge design is noted for having a large amount of sway bracing overhead, which gives the bridge a fun tunnel-like feel to drive over, and also adds to the feeling of awe as you stand on the bridge and admire the complexity of the design. This extensive bracing is carried out to the very large portal bracing present, which is a huge construct of lattice. The nearby SR-83 Bridge is a smaller bridge and is a Parker truss, but also utilizes a similar bracing design.
