This bridge does not as defined a curve as some other bridges like Clark Street in downtown Chicago. This bridge is like a three truss version of the similar bridge on California Street. A plaque on the bridge says the Cicero Avenue Bridge was "widened and modernized" in 1966. I am unsure if this means that one of the three trusses was built in 1966. All of the trusses are riveted, and appeared identical to me. This bridge is one of a number of bridges on the Sanitary and Ship Canal that no longer moves. The bridge tender buildings have been removed, as well as the traffic gates.
