The date is hard to read on the plaque. It is 189 something, looks like a 5 to me. A concrete abutment at one end has a 1933 engraved in it suggesting that abutment was redone at this time.
This bridge is a four panel pin connected half-hip Pratt pony truss. Typical of Iroquois County's truss bridges, the structure is traditional and not groundbreaking in design. Rather, this bridge earns significance from its remarkable historic integrity, including original channel railings and a wooden deck that is representative of the original deck.
