The date listed in the national bridge inventory for this bridge was 1927. Given that this bridge looks extremely similar to a number of other bridges in the county built in the early 1900s, and also that this bridge is pin connected, this is certainly an incorrect date. This bridge likely dates to early 1900s. I assume the "2" is an error and 1907 would reflect the correct date.
This bridge is a six panel pin connected Pratt through truss. It features a wooden deck and channel railings. V-lacing is present on the verticals, sway bracing, and under the top chord and end posts. It is similar to other Iroquois County truss bridges, yet each bridge has its own personality that is strongly derived from its surroundings, which compliment the bridge whether the setting is a wooded setting or an open farmland setting. With this bridge, the wooded setting is scenic, but the bridge is difficult to get good photos of!
