This impressive bridge is a five panel Baltimore through truss bridge and features riveted connections. It crosses the Illinois and Michigan Canal right beside the Des Plaines River. The bridge is heavily skewed. Abutments for the bridge are concrete. There is extensive lattice present on the bridge. The portal bracing is a large v-lacing design. This traditional stationary truss bridge is an attractive addition to Joliet's compliment of movable bridges.
