This bridge is one of the least impressive of the St. Joseph County bridges. Its original railings have been lost to modern railings that, as metal railings, do not even go with a concrete bridge such as the Mishawaka Avenue Bridge. The bridge was apparently painted during its last rehabilitation, but that is peeling off as the concrete deteriorates behind, making the bridge look generally trashy. Perhaps this bridge will eventually be restored in a manner similar to other arch bridges in the county.
