Illinois has less historic bridges than many of the states which
surround it, except for Cook County and Chicago. HistoricBridges.org is
proud to offer the most extensive coverage of Cook County and Chicago
bridges available on the Internet. Cook County has one of the largest
numbers of historic bridges in the country.
Iroquois County has one of the largest truss bridge populations in the
state outside of Cook County, but is demolishing its bridges.
