This bridge is one of those bridges that shows that back in the earlier part of the 20th Century and earlier that building bridges, however small, was about making them look nice as well as functional. Even this tiny bridge which most people probably never even notice has railings with inset rectangles designed to make the railing look like more than concrete barriers. This era of bridge design has long past.
