This bridge is near to the 28th Street Railroad Overpass. Both bridges received an artistic paint job that features a welcome message for the city you are entering. While not very historic looking, this a great example of how a historic railroad bridge that other people might see as an old industrial eyesore might be made to look more appealing to those people, while also retaining the historic structure.
This bridge was built in 1928 as a Kent County Road Commission project.
