| Hamilton Railroad Bridge | Railroad (CSX) Over Rabbit River | Hamilton: Allegan County, Michigan | Wood Stringer, Stationary | 0 By: Unknown |
Because the design of materials does not change over time, wooden bridges are extremely hard to date when compared to other structure types. However, given the complexity of the bridge, as well as the fact the line appears to have been around for a long time, suggest that this bridge is quite old, and thus historic. This bridge appears to be one business short of being abandoned. The line once ran south of Hamilton into Allegan, but that is long gone. The bridge however remains used from Hamilton to the main line in Holland. This bridge is the last section of the line in operations, and rail cars parked on the other side suggest that one business in Hamilton is giving this rail line business.
