The national bridge inventory gives a 1920 date for this bridge. This appears to be incorrect, since the earliest examples of this bridge design date to the late 1920s, and also usually feature a railing design that changes to inset rectangular panels over the abutments. This bridge looks more like the design found around 1930-1935.
This bridge is a standard-plan stringer bridge. The design featured a concrete veneer on the outermost steel beams to create a uniform appearance. The bridge is on a lightly traveled road. Huron City is not really a city at least not in the present day, it is a rural location along Lake Huron. There is a museum near the bridge.
