| Mason Railroad Bridge | Railroad (Norfolk Southern) Over Sycamore Creek | Mason: Ingham County, Michigan | Stone Deck Arch, Stationary | 0 By: Unknown |
This bridge is a small stone arch bridge that is out in the open for everyone to see. It is however, unclear how many people actually notice this bridge. Stone arch bridges are rare in Michigan. Whether people realize this or not, this bridge is thus an asset to the city of Mason. This bridge is typical however, in that it is a railroad bridge, as most Michigan stone arch bridges are railroad bridges. The design of the arch is attractive, and a keystone is clearly visible in the design. Unfortunately, however no date is stamped on the bridge, leaving this bridge's construction date open to speculation.
