Railroad (Abandoned) Over Mine Street Bessemer: Gogebic County, Michigan Metal Through Girder, Stationary 1899 By: Wisconsin Bridge and Iron Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Thanks to James Rouse for visiting and photographing this bridge.

This is an attractive plate girder overpass similar to the Monroe Street Overpass. There are interesting steel supports for the main span. The main span is a standard through plate girder. The approach spans are one deck plate girder at each end. The design of these is a bit unusual because the girders are not completely under the deck, and are instead positioned at the edge of the deck and the girders are flush with the top of the deck.
