Old US-2 Bridge Private Drive (Old US-2) Over Little Black River Rural: Gogebic County, Michigan Concrete 60 Foot Plan Curved Chord Through Girder 0 By: Unknown

Thanks to James Rouse for visiting and photographing this historic bridge.

This concrete camelback bridge is located on an old alignment of US-2 that is today a private drive. The bridge is an excellent example of a skewed concrete camelback bridge. The bridge is in good physical condition, although there is some damage at the ends of the bridge. Located on a private road and away from traffic, it is likely that this beautiful and rare bridge will remain a historic landmark for years to come. Like all of Michigan's surviving examples of this rare structure type, this is a nationally significant structure, as this type is not usually found anywhere but in Michigan.
