This bridge was listed as HABS HAER as being on South County Line Road over Flat River. On many maps however, South County Line Road is listed as Bricker Road where it crosses Flat River. Either way, this bridge came from the road on the county line where it crosses Flat River!

Be sure to visit HABS HAER's page as it documents the bridge in its original location.

This bridge must have been in rather poor condition when it was relocated and restored (in 1998). The portal bracing is bent up, and their are holes in a couple spots on the top chord and end posts. The restoration was not very respective to some of the historical elements of the bridge, but considering that this bridge must have been in poor condition, is perhaps understandable. The floor beams have been replaced, unfortunately with modern wide-flange beams. Modern bolts were used on the restoration as well in many easily visible places. The railings are large and not respective to the original design, and they obstruct the view of much of the bridge's superstructure. On the other hand, the fact that this bridge was saved from demolition is perhaps more than enough to excuse these alterations! The bridge certainly adds a lot of interest and value to the rail-trail.
