Frogs of Michigan:

Leopard Frogs

Because I do not have a Leopard Frog habitat I am not as familiar with this frog type. I discovered this large example of a Leopard Frog apparently trapped in a hole next to a house in the city. I brought it home and photographed it out in my woods, which is not their favored environment, but the photos look cool! I have since become aware of a Leopard Frog habitat in my area which I plan to visit in the early fall. These frogs appear to prefer waters located in field environments. They often show up as dissection victims in school laboratories. Hopefully, they are taken from controlled environments, since, like all frogs they are in danger of population decline.
