Batavia Railroad Bridge Railroad (CSX) Over Tonawanda Creek Batavia: Genesee County, New York Metal Riveted Baltimore Through Truss, Stationary 1900 By Phoenix Bridge Company of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania

This four panel truss bridge is significant for being a documented example of a bridge built by the Phoenix Bridge Company, which was a noteworthy bridge company that was noted for innovations in the earlier portion of the truss bridge era, such as their patented Phoenix Columns. No columns are present on the Batavia Railroad Bridge, but the bridge is nevertheless a historic example of a relatively short railroad through truss.
