The New York based Owego Bridge company appears to have had a preference for the double-intersection Warren truss configuration, which is a generally rare truss configuration on a national scale. In addition, the Erie Canal stationary bridges like Day Road feature this truss configuration. Thus, the double-intersection Warren is regionally less rare in New York and northern Pennsylvania than in other areas.

The Owego Bridge Company did not build the Forest Home Road Bridge; another New York Company, the Groton Bridge Company did. It is curious, and makes one wonder if their might be a connection between the companies.
