This bridge is a relatively standard warren pony truss. However, the plaque mounted vertically on top of the top chord adds a significant decorative detail. This method of plaque mounting is something that was done on much older bridges, but few examples from that era retain plaques. This bridge also features attractive lattice railings for the sidewalk.

On-site conditions and time limitations prevented an extensive review of the bridge, notably the layout under the deck. A later review of the bridge in the National Bridge Inventory revealed the structure is listed as a steel stringer. This may indicate that the bridge's trusses remain for decorative and historic value only, with stringers under the bridge doing the load bearing. The date listed in this National Bridge Inventory entry is 1996, suggesting this is when such alteration, if it did indeed take place, occured. Anyone who has been under this bridge to visually confirm any of this speculation is urged to send an email.
