This bridge was listed in the National Bridge Inventory as being a wrought iron structure. The presence of built-up floor beams for a relatively small bridge would seem to confirm that this is indeed an older pony truss that could date to the 1880s or early 1890s. Assuming these date estimates are correct this would, along with the good historic integrity, make this bridge a worthy candidate for preservation.
