This attractive stone arch bridge is on a public highway that passes through Buttermilk Falls State Park. As such, the bridge serves not only as a functional crossing for traffic, but also as an attraction for the park.
The unusual shape of the stones composing the arch indicate that it was built using local materials. The stone in this area appears to break apart into thin rectangular shapes. This can be seen by looking at the unusual square-like shape to the riverbed below this bridge.
