Parkersburg-Belpre Bridge Railroad (CSX) Over Ohio River Belpre and Parkersburg: Washington County, Ohio and Wood County, West Virginia Metal Pinned Parker Through Truss, Stationary 1905 By: Unknown

This impressive structure consists of numerous simple span Parker trusses, with one larger central span. The HAER entry for this bridge provides three construction dates for the bridge that has crossed here, 1871, 1900, and 1905. The spans that dated to 1871 are long gone; the 1900 or 1905 date likely refers to the construction of the spans present today. These spans are impressive works of engineering, and also feature decorative design of portal bracing.
