This is a large example of a pin-connected Camelback truss bridge. Cleveland has many truss bridges, but not pin-connected truss bridges, making this bridge noteworthy, despite being a relatively late example of pin-connected technology. The structure retains excellent historic integrity. For all these reasons, the Scranton Road Railroad Overpass is worthy of preservation. The bridge remains in use by rail traffic. Steel on the bridge was fabricated by Carnegie. The bridge is composed of seven panels. Extensive lattice and v-lacing is present on the built-up beams of the structure, adding to the beauty of the bridge.
