Bridge Name | Type | Road | Location | City | Crossing |
| Toledo CSX Railroad Bridge #1 | Truss | Railroad (CSX, Norfolk Southern, Amtrak) | Lucas County, OH | Toledo | Maumee River |
There are a lot of railroad bridges crossing the Maumee River in Toledo, considering the size of the river. This is the railroad swing bridge just south of the Anthony Wayne Bridge. It carries a rail-line that serves CSX, Norfolk Southern, and Amtrak. This is definitly a bridge to visit in the morning, not in the evening as I did. You can get good elevated portal views from a highway overpass on the east side of the river. However when I was here, I was just shooting into the sun. Guess I will need to revisit this bridge. There are a number of other large railroad truss bridges in Toledo over the Maumee, and they vary in difficulty to photograph.
This particular bridge is noted for an unusual modified double-intersection Warren truss configuration.
