Key Facts
Bridge Name Facility Carried / Feature Intersected Location Structure Type Construction Date / Builder or Contractor
Indian Creek Cemetery Bridge South Cemetery Drive Over Indian Creek Chatham: Chatham-Kent Region, Ontario Concrete Deck Arch, Stationary 0 By: Unknown

This is one of two concrete arch bridges in this cemetery. Visit the other bridge's page here.

This bridge features railings that fancier than the other bridge, plus the curve of the deck has an arch to it that is not parallel to the arch of the bridge itself. The bridge also is in slightly poorer condition, with a few of the railing balustrades having been replaced, as some patching visible on the deck. These are all indications that this bridge is the older of the two.

These two bridges together add greatly to the beauty and heritage of the cemetery grounds. Concrete arch bridges do not appear to be present in any notable quantity in this area of Ontario, so these bridges have a fair amount of significance.
