Key Facts |
Bridge Name | Type | Road | Location | City | Crossing |
| Oxford-Waterloo Road Bridge | Truss | Oxford-Waterloo Road | Waterloo Region / Oxford County, ON | Rural | Nith River |
This attractive bridge is similar to the nearby Bridge Street Bridge. Like Bridge Street, this bridge appears to have been repaired, although perhaps even more recently than Bridge Street, in the form of a new concrete deck. This eight panel structure features riveted connections. The original railings do not remain on this bridge, although the ones currently on the bridge have a low visual impact on the bridge and are not aesthetically offensive. There is no evidence of paint on the bridge. While the rust has not severely deteriorated the structure, sandblasting and painting of the trusses might be an option for to consider to ensure that this bridge remains for future generations to enjoy.
