Thanks to Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) for visiting and photographing this bridge.
This is a narrower bridge than the Wellington Road Bridge, but unlike that bridge is not currently threatened with demolition. These two bridges share the common trait of being an unusual design of rigid-frame, unlike other late 1950s bridges along this freeway such as the Norwich Avenue Bridge. The arch shape to the beams on this bridge is a smoother, more rounded shape. This shape, unlike the other rigid-frame bridges on this section of highway, does not flow into the abutment in the same way either. Because the Wellington Road Bridge is not being preserved, it makes sense to preserve this bridge, which is on a much less essential and busy roadway.
