Thanks to Chip from SLH contracting for informing Historic Bridges of Michigan and Elsewhere of this bridge, and providing some pictures. This bridge was replaced in the 1980s, and here are several pictures that show the bridge as it was being torn down. The bridge was a very large plate girder bridge, and appears to have had three spans. Highway plate girders are quite rare in Michigan, although they were common in other states such as Pennsylvania and New York. The McCabe Road bridge is an example of a smaller, but still standing highway plate girder bridge in Michigan.
