This is to the best of my knowledge the only remaining highway bridge of interest in the town of Battle Creek. The loss of the original railings severely detracts from the aesthetic value of this bridge. The bridge is very old however, with a 1904 construction date, and is one of the oldest concrete arch bridges in Michigan. For a bridge to stand over a century and still be open to traffic is a feat few bridges in Michigan have achieved.
