Sebewaing Railroad Bridge Plate Girder Railroad (Huron and Eastern) Huron County, MI Sebewaing Sebewaing River

This is the only railroad bridge in town, and it is a both a deck and through plate girder. The feet of this bridge appear to have been replaced. That seems to have been common railroad practice, since I have found other railroad bridges with new looking feet. This does not appear to be a particularly old plate girder, based on the lack of curving on the ends of the girders, and also the use of concrete instead of stone. Stone supports and abutments were common on Michigan railroad bridges, but not on highway bridges.
