| Thames Street Bridge | Arch (Stone) | Railroad | Middlesex County, Ontario | London | Thames Street |
With a construction date of 1889 showing on the keystone of this arch bridge, this bridge is among London's oldest. Situated on a quiet city street, this bridge is quite attractive looking. Concrete has been added above the stone on this bridge, but other than that the bridge appears to retain integrity, and is in good condition. It is frequently used by trains. It is similar in size and function to the Dexter Bridge back in Michigan. The Thames Street Bridge's arch is more like the shape of the bridge in Imlay City, also in Michigan. The Thames Street Bridge has a more defined keystone than either of those bridges however.
