US-33 (West Pike Street)

Elkhart County, IN

Goshen

Elkhart River

This three span bridge carries US-33 over the Elkhart River in the town of Goshen. It carries heavy traffic, and has had its railings replaced. A small attention to the aesthetic railings was applied in the form of inset squares on the outside of the railings. Some patching appears to have been done to the arches at this time as well. The contractor for this bridge was the H. H. Stoddard Company, and William S. Moore was listed as engineer on the plaque for this bridge which was built in 1926.
