This monstrous three main span bridge features Pennsylvania through truss spans covered in v-lacing and lattice. The connections on the bridge are pinned. The bridge was built by the Mercantile Bridge Company, which is a company I have not seen often. The west approach to this bridge is excessively wide, suggesting that it was built in more recent years. I didn't have the luxury of time to investigate it close to tell for sure. I don't really have a lot to say about this bridge, because the photos and the bridge speak for themselves. This is a bridge that it so big you can't help but notice its presence and its complex engineering that form a structure that is both a town landmark and a work of art. Be sure to check the HABS HAER entry for this bridge for a more technical, and less flowery description of the bridge.
