This beautiful massive-membered truss bridge is unusual because it has two main truss spans but they are separated by some approach spans, giving the bridge the appearance of being two separate bridges. I found it an interesting scene. This is an area that should interest railfans because there is an active rail yard under this bridge, and you can see a lot of it from the bridge. Pontists will appreciate this area because of these gorgeous bridges that so define the Pennsylvania experience. The trusses are Pratt through trusses with riveted connections. The structures are skewed. There is a through plate girder approach span at the northeastern end of the bridge. The spans in between the truss spans are concrete and may not be original. The bridge appears to be in excellent shape, and so I hope it will not fall under the Wrath of PennDOT and be demolished.
