This bridge is quite unusual to view. It is a narrow railroad bridge, serving a single track, yet it is both long and tall due to its impressive single span design. It looks almost precariously narrow from the portal view, yet when viewed from elevation, it reveals its massive and complex design.
The bridge is a twelve panel pin-connected Pennsylvania truss bridge of significant single span length. Pin-connected Pennsylvania truss bridges are uncommon, and the truss design also represents one of the more complex truss designs around, and offers pleasing geometry to look at.
