Allegan has really made an effort to honor their treasure. Pictured above is a sign on a nearby bar/grill, as well as one of the many city banners present in the downtown area.

There were three different types of plaques on this bridge. This first one is in the middle of the portal bracing.

The second plaque type, mounted on top of the portal bracing, shows the date.

The third plaque, mounted on the top chord, again lists King Bridge Co. and date of construction. It also lists commissioners and town clerk.

Weight limit sign. The bridge undoubtedly can carry much more than four tons, but considering that several vehicles can be on the bridge's single span at one time, the weight limit still must be fairly low.
