Notice the truss is riveted, but the connection is bolted.
Abutments for former bridge. These extended further out than on the new bridge, suggesting perhaps this bridge may have not had no approach spans. See next picture.

The contractors were almost done when I visited. I shot this in the car, so it is a bit blurry. I bet Michigan and Pennsylvania don't have a single sign that says this! Bridge Repair? What's that? I thought you had to demolish bridges when they get old! Ontario obviously cares about its bridge more than Michigan or Pennsylvania.
