Some old valve thing I spotted while walking back to the bridge. Unrelated, but I thought it made a nice photo.

Looking at the superstructure of the main span, on the foggy day.

Large, unusual connection.

Looking up at the main span.

Dark full view of main span.

Zoom on main span from below.

Bent truss, possibly from a falling tree.

Approach supports.

Looking up a support.

Base of supports. Notice how the trusses are not all parallel, and they instead follow the contour of the land.

Looking down at approach supports.

Zoom in on lots of trusses.

Even more trusses.

Main span once again, this time with a little more sun.

Main span and approaches.

A foot of the bridge.

The main span in winter senset.

Main span support and part of main span/

Winter offered a chance to see the approach as a whole.

This vertical member appears to have been modified. Looks like it was rebuilt out of welded plate steel to me.

Looking back at the second approach support. You can see how the bases are not level on this bridge. The design of the bridge was based on the contour of the land. These days is is usually the other way around.
